Premier League Transfer Watch

The SPORTSvox Premier League Transfer Watch continues this week and the countdown is on. With most clubs experimenting with their squads during pre season tours, we continue to focus off the pitch. With only 14 days left to complete business, transfers are happening thick and fast.

There are still a lot of big names looking to secure their next ‘big move’. This week we look at what Rafa Benitez has been doing behind the scenes and some of the bigger transfers completed in the last seven days.

Newcastle Spice up Their Attack with Japanese Signing

Touted as the ‘Japanese Messi’ when he was younger Yoshinori Muto has agreed to join Newcastle in a £9.5 million deal. The Japan International played in the World Cup and is expected to be a big hit with the Toon Army.

Benitez has not stopped there however. Newcastle have also confirmed the signing off Fabian Scharr from Deportivo, following a successful medical. His release clause was activated and the Swiss Defender will move for around £3 million.

Richarlison Joins Ex Manager Silva at Everton

Marco Silva has completed his first big money signing as Everton manager, by bringing in one of his former players Richarlison from Watford. Richarlison who thrived under Silva at Watford will re join his former manager following a £40 million deal, agreed this week.

Its not all pleasantries at Watford however, who are raising an official complaint to the Premier League. This is believed to be in connection with how Everton approached the player before he confirmed his move.

This is what Watford will be missing out on next season –

Other Notable Signings

The Premier League will welcome back former Chelsea player Andre Schurrle, who will join arch rivals Fulham. Schurrle who has spent time back in Germany after leaving Chelsea will join Fulham on a 2 year loan deal.

Wolves have catapulted themselves to the top of the spenders list from those who were promoted last season. Having already secured a host of signings they have also secured the abilities of a former Portuguese International. Joao Moutinho who has made 11 appearances for Portugal will join Wolves with the fee undisclosed.

Hot Gossip

We still await news on Hazard and others. With Rob Green joining on a one year deal and Chelsea still chasing another keeper however, we expect news on Courtois to Madrid shortly.

The next transfer watch may well be one to look out for.
